New directors appointed at two institutes

Rector Lenar Safin introduced the two individuals today.

Marat Umarov replaced Yelena Merzon as the Director of Yelabuga Institute (Branch); he moved from the same position at the Jizzakh Branch in Uzbekistan.

“Marat Umarov has extensive experience in science and education. He has also been working with us for many years: for about 10 years he held the position of the Deputy Director for General Affairs of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute, and for the last two years as the Director of the Jizzakh Branch. We wish you success in your new position and big achievements,” the Rector said.

Almaz Galimov fills in the position of the Director of the Jizzakh Branch; he previously was Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Institute of Psychology and Education. Before that, he spent ten years as Vice-Rector of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
