Russia Day celebrated at Cairo Branch

Students and staff gathered in the capital of Egypt for the event.

The students were shown a movie dedicated to the traditions and history of Russia and the emergence of Russian statehood. In addition, the students watched a video about Kazan Federal University, its academic, scientific and social life. The medical students from Egypt were genuinely interested in the story about the training of doctors and the medical cluster of Kazan Federal University. The students took part in a mini-quiz in Russian language.

Ilsur Nafikov, Associate Professor of the Department of Altaic, Turkic and Central Asian Studies of the Institute of International Relations, gave a lecture on the history of modern Russia, its social transformations and reforms.

The branch management thinks that holding such events will become a good tradition and will help the students of the branch to join the friendly family of KFU students and serve as an incentive for deeper acquaintance with the rich centuries-old culture of Russia and Tatarstan.
