801 young people graduate from KFU’s Preparatory School

A graduation ceremony was held in the KFU UNICS Sports and Recreation Center. Airat Mukhametov, Dean of the Preparatory Faculty for International Students, attended the event.

This year, the School bid farewell to individuals from 52 countries.

“Every year is unforgettable for us. Students from all over the world come to us. Cultures intertwine, students become friends, begin studying Russian together, and then go on to enroll in the university,” Airat Mukhametov emphasized.

The Dean congratulated the graduates and shared their achievements this academic year – 39 percent of “A” grades on the final exam for level B1 (intermediate) in Russian.

Yulia Gorelova, Head of the Department of Pre-Bachelor’s Russian Language, Elena Shimkovich, Head of the Department of General Education, and Oksana Polyakova, Associate Professor of the Department of Pre-Master’s and Pre-Doctoral Russian Language, were awarded for their dedicated work and personal contribution to the development of pre-university training for international students.

Then, a ceremony honoring the distinguished graduates took place. Vocal performances were presented to the audience.

Hossein Sheibani, who graduated from the Preparatory School this year, noted the positive impact his studies had on his understanding of Russian culture and shared his impressions of the capital of Tatarstan.

“Kazan is a multicultural city, that’s why I like it here,” he said.

Another graduate, Noor Al Saleh, called studying at the Preparatory Faculty “a new life” and expressed her desire to enroll at KFU.
