Higher School of Journalism conducts video conference with Tajikistan

The event was organized on 14 April.

The co-hosts were Dean of the Higher School of Journalism Leonid Tolchinsky and Head of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russia’s humanitarian cooperation agency) Ivan Ivanov. KFU students and Tajikistani bloggers and journalists were invited to join.

Mr ivanov presented the School of Young Journalists and Bloggers (SYJB), a media training project introduced in November 20221 by his deputy, former employee of Kazan University Lyaysan Abdullina. He said, “Three classes of students have already been admitted to the training course. I hope we can also implement joint projects with you.”

Leonid Tolchinsky spoke about the School of Journalism’s projects, including the ongoing Russian PR Week. He was enthusiastic about Rossotrudnichestvo’s SYJB initiative and expressed his confidence in future successes of the training course graduates.

The Tajikistani students then asked questions regarding first career steps, stage fright, professional tracks, and other most pertinent topics. Their Kazanian peers spoke about studies at KFU and experiences in their profession.
