President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi signs executive order to open Kazan University’s Cairo Branch

Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev confirms tha the branch must open doors before end of year.

“The first admission includes general medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy. Educators from Kazan are going to be involved in teaching. The instruction is in English language, but Russian will also be learned extensively. Graduates will receive Kazan University diplomas, and all the quality and content of curricula meets official requirements,” he adds.

The admission is fee-based, but grants will be available to excelling students to cover fees in full or in part.

The branch aims to develop education and research in Egypt, including Russian language teaching, and to strengthen ties between Russia and Egypt.

KFU’s first overseas branch opened doors last year in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan.
