On 23 December, Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. Dmitry Tayursky, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Research, received the honorary title. The title was conferred by a decree signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The award recognizes more than 36 years of Dmitry Tayursky’s work in science and higher education, as well as his long-standing service to Kazan Federal University. The honorary title is traditionally awarded to scholars whose research has earned broad recognition in Russia and internationally, and whose contributions include academic leadership, university teaching, and the training of highly qualified specialists.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Kazan Kremlin ahead of the New Year, Mr Minnikhanov thanked the recipients for their professionalism and dedication to public service.
Over the course of his career, Tayursky has authored more than 170 scientific papers, published 11 monographs, and prepared 6 teaching manuals.
