KFU among the winners of the Intellectual Program of the All-Russian Student Marathon

Around 500 students from 20 universities gathered in Krasnodar Krai for the All-Russian Student Marathon – 2026 youth festival. Kazan Federal University takes part in this large-scale, vibrant project every year, consistently securing top positions. This year was no exception.

The marathon was held for the 13th time. Over its history spanning more than a decade, 6,000 young people have participated in the festival.

The KFU team, consisting of seven students, competed in creative, sports, and intellectual events. These included the Podium fashion contest, the Hits of the Decade vocal competition, photography and art object contests, a checkers tournament, and various intellectual games.

The jury panel included winners of international competitions, theater and film actors, creators of famous shows, TV presenters and directors, creative project coordinators, sports and game referees, as well as coaches from world associations across various sports.

This year, the festival hosted events for the All-Russian School of Social Design, organized by the Student Coordinating Council of the All-Russian Education Trade Union. The program consisted of two tracks: Rosmolodezh – Grants for Individuals and Rosmolodezh – Grants for Universities. The schedule included lectures, master classes, expert consultations, and a trade show of social projects by the Trade Union’s Student Coordinating Council. Sofia Svechikhina, a student of KFU’s Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications, represented us in this track.

“Our main activity focused on creating a full project application for the Rosmolodezh.Grants competition for individuals. These were five intense days filled with lectures, communication with experts, and project presentations. I would particularly like to note the huge number of experts from the Student Coordinating Council and Rosmolodezh [Russian Youth Agency – editor’s note] who were energized to work with every participant, both at the event itself and subsequently online,” shared Sofia.

KFU took 1st place in the intellectual program (Premier League), and 3rd place in the checkers tournament and the photography contest. In the overall standings, Kazan University entered the top 5.

“The All-Russian Student Marathon is always about a special atmosphere created by the festival organizers and the participants themselves. This year was no exception. Our team handled all assigned tasks excellently. As a result, Kazan Federal University emerged as the winner of the marathon’s intellectual program. For 12 years now, the university has demonstrated high results and occupied top ranking positions,” reported Natalya Gizatullina, head of the delegation and Head of the Section for Organizational and Cultural Activities at KFU’s Department of Youth Policy.
