KFU employees among recipients of BRICS+ International Award to Women in Science & Technology in 2026

The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of women researchers and educators in the development of science, technology, education and innovation.

This year, 366 individuals applied from 15 countries in 10 nominations.

Among KFU applicants, the winners were:

Lyudmila Yakimova (Fundamental Sciences) for her work on the synthesis of new organic molecules with targeted properties for diagnostics, gene therapy, and drug delivery;

Anastasiya Fakhrutdinova (Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation) for her methodology of international comparative studies of pedagogical processes;

Valeriya Solovyova (Medicine and Biotechnology) for her research of gene and cell therapy of hereditary diseases and cancers.

The winners will have opportunities to speak at BRICS-held events, including the International BRICS Youth Forum for the Dialogue of Generations for the Future (November 19 — 21, 2026, Saint-Petersburg, Russia).
