KFU student Alina Garaeva wins Vice Miss Planet International in Cambodia
The pageant comprised participants from over 40 nations.
Before the competition itself, the contestants visited Angkor Wat and planted trees in an event sponsored by the Ministry of Environment. An environmental project presentation was included in the contest.
As is usual for talent pageants, a runway walk in national costumes and evening gowns was featured. Alina Garaeva chose a Tatar ethnic dress for the first part.
“Deep down I believed in victory and was determined to win. I’ve been working towards this for a long time, I have a lot of experience of participating in international competitions. I am glad that I am bringing the crown to my country. I was supported by acquaintances, relatives, and I received messages from different countries. I have never felt such attention before. I was very pleased to receive support from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia,” said the interviewee.
Among Garaeva’s titles are Beauty of Tatarstan, Miss Planet Russia, and Miss Asian Russia. She was also in the top 25 at Miss Global 2022 in Indonesia.
