KFU Student of the Year award held in Emperor Ballroom

Winners in 25 nominations received prizes on 24 December.
This time, three students at once became winners of the Grand Prix, which doesn’t happen often – Viktor Voropaev (Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication), Ruslan Zinnurov (Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences), and Kseniya Perepelitsa (Institute of Management, Economics and Finance). The envelope with the names was opened by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky and the winner of the 2023 award Natalia Shilova. It is symbolic that in the Year of the Family in Russia, the parents of the finalists also came to support the nominees.
Among the other nominations were Intellect of the Year, Best Master’s Student, Best PhD Student, and Best Student Mentor of a Science Club – all divided between two categories (humanities and socioeconomic sciences & natural sciences and mathematics). The others were Best Student Organization, Best Student Dormitory Council, Best Information Service, Best Athlete, Best Sports Club, Artistic Discovery of the Year, Creative Personality, Best Student Arts Team, Best Cultural Organization, Best Volunteer, Best International Student, Best Student Initiative, Best Student Employment Team, and Best Member of a Student Employment Team. There were two additional nominations for teachers – Best Educator and Best Mentor.
The two special guests were Aide to the Governor, Chairman of the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the Movement of the First Timur Suleimanov and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Danis Shakirov – both themselves previous winners of the Student of the Year Grand Prix.
