KFU tops national ranking of IT universities among non-capital city institutions

Digital Economy, a prominent Russian nonprofit specializing in industry analysis, published its 2025 ranking for universities. KFU placed first among those outside Moscow and Saint-Petersburg,

The ranking includes universities with over 1,000 individuals enrolled in IT-related programs of all levels. Among the top-16 in provincial Russia, there are four universities from Tatarstan.

KFU is commended for its comprehensive range of IT specializations, including machine learning, computer vision, and bioinformatics.

The ranking aims to highlight universities with significant contribution to the national IT landscape and to gather feedback from leading companies about IT education.
