Rector Lenar Safin receives Greifer Medal from the Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists of Russia

A regular Academic Board meeting on 28 March was joined by President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov and President of Russian Technological University MIREA Alexander Sigov.

Dr Sigov handed over the 1st degree Greifer Medal to Rector Safin and President Minnikhanov. The medal is awarded by the Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists for outstanding contributions to innovation.

In his turn, Rector Safin awarded KFU employees with provincial and federal commendations.

The Board then proceeded to work on its usual questions of the agenda, including hiring, degree conferments, and others.

The Board members also discussed an upcoming opening of a research center for Russian systems of supercomputer modeling and engineering and a possible increase in funding for international contests for schoolchildren and students.
