TechnoStart project winners awarded at Naberezhnye Chelny Institute

The competition aimed to highlight talents in industrial automation.

Over 260 students from various institutions, including KFU’s Jizzakh Branch (Uzbekistan), pitched their ideas. There were three nominations: Industrial Automation in the Automotive Industry and Tractor Industry, Cars with Low Carbon Emissions, and Intelligent Vehicles – Safety and Driving Systems. All three were won by Naberezhnye Chelny Institute students.

“It is excellent that, firstly, there was representation from different departments, quite a wide range of topics dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint, but still the directions are different. There was a very interesting report on the soot filter – regenerative, which is mandatory for the definition of EURO-6 toxicity standards today. These works are directly related to our main customer KAMAZ. There were researches on fuel element, though in the initial stage, but this topic is developing in the institute and attracts students. Therefore, I believe that such contests are very useful, they should be organized on a regular basis, and they are of great benefit to the guys. I see their interest, especially when the certificates were awarded. This is very good,” said Associate Professor of the Department of Automobiles, Engines and Car Design Valery Rumyantsev.

The participants were invited to a tour of Institute’s labs, including new facilities of the Cyber Auto Tech advanced engineering school.
