Rector Ilshat Gafurov received Konstantin Ushinsky Medal from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia

The ceremony took place in Moscow on 9 September.

The medal was bestowed upon Rector Gafurov for his contribution to implementation of government policies in higher education, teacher training, theory and history of pedagogical science, modernization of teaching, and co-authorship of textbooks and study materials.

Ilshat Gafurov noted that the award attests the work of the whole university team.

The medal is named after Konstantin Ushinsky (1823 – 1871), renowned Russian pedagogue and writer.

In conclusion, Minister Valery Falkov noted, “Receiving this high award is an assessment of your long-term work on the part of the society and the state. I would like to thank the teams of our largest scientific institutes, the heads of which are present here today. These are Moscow State Technical University and Kazan Federal University. This is the order-bearing Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chumakov Federal Scientific Center which has made a real breakthrough by creating the CoviVac vaccine. Your  achievements are much appreciated.”
