University visited by Governor of Jizzakh Region Ergash Saliev

He arrived on 10 January.

Before the visit, Governor Saliev met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan Kremlin. The President noted that that the two provinces are steadily increasing cooperation in all sectors, including commerce and education. Ergash Saliev assured that his region is very interested in further links with Tatarstan.

During his visit to to KFU, Mr Saliev toured the History Museum and met with Rector Lenar Safin; Vice-Premier of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov was also present, as well as vice-rectors Dmitry Tayursky and Timirkhan Alishev. The Rector spoke about KFU’s current priorities and strategy.

The Jizzakh Branch of Kazan University opened doors on 10 October 2022. It is located on the premises of a former air force academy. Among the offered majors are machine industry, geology, IT, economics, management, languages, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and others.
