Sixteen research projects to be supported by Russian Science Foundation

Results were published for the “Fundamental and applied research by small groups” category.

The funding will be allocated in 2022 – 2023 for groups of no more than 4 scientists; the average total sum is 1.49 million rubles a year.

The projects are as follows (project leads are given in parentheses);

“Investigation of the characteristics of aerosol filters with nano- and microfibers” (Shamil Zaripov, Head of the Department of Modeling of Environmental Systems);

“Development of neural network methods and software for analyzing the complexity and simplification of texts in Russian” (Valery Solovyov, Professor of the Department of Applied and Experimental Linguistics, Professor of the Department of Intelligent Search Technologies);

“Anomalous magnetism of powders and single crystals of binary rare earth fluorides” (Eduard Baybekov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics);

“Structural ordering and microscopic dynamics of molecular liquids with non-trivial geometry under external influence” (Ramil Khusnutdinov, Associate Professor of the Department of Computational Physics and Modeling of Physical Processes);

“Crystallization kinetics and thermodynamic aspects of obtaining amorphous forms of drugs” (Alexander Gerasimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry);

“Analogs of natural compounds – phosphorus-containing betaines – effective complexing agents and carriers of rare-earth metal ions and organic substrates” (Natalya Davletshina, Associate Professor of the Department of High Molecular and Organoelement Compounds);

“Functional polymer nanocomposites with a gradient of composition and properties created by a magnetic field” (Rustem Amirov, Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry);

“Ultrafast amorphization of complexes of natural beta-cyclodextrin with medicinal substances” (Askar Gatiatulin, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry);

“Investigation of the effect of nanoconstruction on the mechanism and kinetics of polymerization of aryl cyanates and the dynamics of polytriazine networks” (Roman Nosov, Senior Research Associate of the Laboratory of In-Situ Combustion);

“Biodiversity of extreme ecotopes: microbiome and metagenomic profiling, producers of antagonistic metabolites, proteomic analysis of exosomes” (Olga Ilyinskaya, Head of the Department of Microbiology);

“Forecast of the scale of carbon dioxide emission during the change of land use of fallow soils based on the analysis and modeling of the spatial heterogeneity of their humus state” (Kamil Giniyatullin, Associate Professor of the Department of Soil Studies);

“Corrosion potential of microbial associations – molecular and metabolic aspects” (Ayrat Ziganshin, Professor of the Department of Microbiology);

“Impaired balance of excitation and inhibition during focal epileptic activity in the somatosensory cortex of a developing rat in vivo” (Viktoriya Shumkova, 5th year student of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology);

“Synthesis and structure of onium salts with antibacterial and antimycotic properties for the creation of a remedy for the treatment of eye diseases in domestic and farm animals” (Irina Galkina, Professor of the Department of High Molecular and Organoelement Compounds);

“Digital model for predicting student academic performance at school closings based on big data and neural networks” (Fail Gafarov, Head of the Department of Information Systems).
