Cooperation discussed with Liaoning Normal University

A delegation from one of the top ten teacher education universities of China arrived on 21 June.
The LNNU team comprised Party Secretary Liu Hong, Deputy Director of the School of Foreign Languages Liang Hongqi, and Lecturer Liu Qiaofang. KFU was represented by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Aidar Kalimullin, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, Chair of the Department of Pedagogy Roza Valeeva, Professor of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy Tatyana Baklashova, and International Cooperation Officer of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Yury Nurmeev.
Dr Kalumullin noted that LNNU colleagues partook in the WERA IRN research network on teacher education in the BRICS and joined the International Forum on Teacher Education this year in Kazan and Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Before visiting KFU, the guests toured Adymnar School, a multilingual secondary school in Kazan. Principal Aidar Shamsutdinov introduced the priorities of multilingual education.
Ms Liu Hong thanked the hosts for the meeting and invited KFU to develop student exchange and scholarship applications.
A decision was made to organized a partner IFTE forum in May 2026 and a joint scientific conference in October 2026 in Dalian.
The delegation proceeded to the Institute of Psychology and Education, where in depth presentations were made by Dr Kalimullin, Dr Valeeva, and Deputy Director for Research Shamil Sheimardanov.
