Kazan Federal University was visited by a delegation from Sambhram University in Jizzakh

During the official visit, a meeting took place between the head of the university, Juma Khusanov, and his advisor, Ergash Saliev, and the Rector of KFU, Lenar Safin.
Dr Safin highly praised the long-standing cooperation with Uzbekistan in science and education, calling it productive and exemplary in all respects.
In this context, he mentioned the opening of KFU’s branch campus in Jizzakh, as the project has become quite successful over several years of implementation and today carries significant weight.
“Here we highly appreciate your contribution, dear Ergash Alibekovich,” the rector addressed Saliev. “You provided comprehensive support at all stages of establishing and developing the branch: construction of the campus, development of the material and laboratory infrastructure, and organization of the educational process in priority fields for the region. Today I can proudly say that KFU’s branch in Jizzakh is a modern scientific and educational institution, where more than a thousand students study in 10 educational programs. Highly qualified specialists are trained here, and cooperation is actively developing with leading companies in Uzbekistan, such as ADM Global, as well as with Tatarstan companies operating in your market, first and foremost KAMAZ and Khimgrad.”
He also noted the comprehensive support for all these processes provided directly by the President of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
However, according to Lenar Safin, KFU is focused on further expanding cooperation with educational organizations in Jizzakh.
The Uzbekistani side, in turn, emphasized that the leaders of both countries pay great attention to the development of higher education, and that KFU is making a significant contribution in this matter.
“Your university is one of the leading universities in Russia and is among the top universities in the world, demonstrating a high quality of education. This inspires respect, trust, and great interest in KFU among our population. Today, about 3,000 citizens of Uzbekistan are studying in your programs, and the university maintains active cooperation with 86 scientific and educational organizations in Uzbekistan. The opening of the branch in Jizzakh expands the range of opportunities for our youth, so this project can truly be called successful in every sense,” Ergash Saliev concluded.
Juma Khusanov added that the upcoming signing of a memorandum of understanding between Kazan University and Sambhram University would serve as a basis for further interaction between the parties in education and science.
In response, Lenar Safin expressed readiness to develop the partnership and strengthen friendship between Tatarstan and Jizzakh Region for the benefit of both countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties formalized the agreements with official signatures. This memorandum will be aimed at developing and implementing joint scientific and educational programs, academic mobility programs, fundamental and applied research, and much more.
