KFU signs partnership agreement with People’s Government of Dongfang City

A delegation from Hainan Province visited on 27 August.

Party Secretary of Dongfang City Li Aihua and Rector of KFU Lenar Safin held talks.

“The development of educational cooperation between Russia and China is an important component of our strategic partnership. Today Kazan University is hosting over 2,000 Chinese students, and we have exchange programs used by over 30 young people from both countries each year,” mentioned Dr Safin.

Just recently, 22 students from China visited KFU as part of our Summer University project, and 38 KFU students went to Beijing Normal University and other partner institutions for various summer activities.

At Kazan University, over 1,000 students study Chinese language. Last academic year, several preparatory courses of Russian language were launched in China in partnership with our university.

Overall, KFU has over 60 agreements with Chinese academic institutions and companies.

Li Aihua opined, “Our joint work will strengthen cultural, scientific and educational links between our two peoples.”
