In his welcoming speech, the minister emphasized that cooperation with China in science and education is a key area of international cooperation, with consistently positive momentum. The Forum itself will serve as the main venue for celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Association of Russian-Chinese Technical Universities, which unites more than 80 leading universities with approximately 2 million students.

“Today, our countries have strong engineering schools that complement each other seamlessly. We have much to share with our partners and much to learn from them. It is this approach that makes our interaction truly meaningful,” concluded Valery Falkov.

He also thanked the Office of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, for its support and significant contribution to the preparation of the forum.

The organizing committee then began discussing the program architecture, issues related to logistics and accommodation for the upcoming forum participants, determining official languages, website design, and the creation of a brand identity.

Valery Falkov ordered the assignment of those responsible for the business program sections and the deadlines for submitting scenario plans and technical specifications. For his part, the minister expressed his readiness to assist the organizers in resolving any issues that arise, within the scope of his authority.

In summing up, he emphasized the need to maximize the forum’s effectiveness in the context of the rapid transformation of engineering education and the development of artificial intelligence technologies worldwide, fostering productive dialogue and sharing best practices that will contribute to the country’s technological leadership.

As a reminder, 2026–2027 have been declared the Mutual Years of Russian-Chinese Cooperation in Education. The organizational plan includes over 100 national events, ranging from high school level to higher education. The upcoming forum is among the ten biggest events in this plan.
