Rector Lenar Safin met with Russian Federation’s Ambassador to Egypt Artur Lyukmanov

This was Ambassador’s first visit to KFU after being appointed to his new position on 15 August 2026. He is now also representing our country in the Arab League.

Lenar Safin congratulated the Ambassador with this new position; the sides later proceeded to discuss KFU’s plans for its branch in Cairo and further cooperation with Egyptian partners.

The Rector noted that the Cairo Branch is gaining recognition in many countries apart from Egypt, such as Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Chad, and others.

“We plan to increase scientific and innovation activities in our work,” added the Rector. “We discussed the possibility of opening a research center at our Cairo Branch with the Minister of Education and Scientific Research of Egypt Abdel Aziz Konsowa.”

Ambassador Lyukmanov opined that KFU’s role as the coordinator of Russian-African Network University for 2027-2029 should give a new boost to existing cooperation. “In this work, you can count on any kind of support from our side,” he concluded.
