Rector Lenar Safin met with Vice President of Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology Zhang Shimei as part of ROSTKI Russia-China Forum

At the meeting, Dr Safin emphasized the importance of KFU’s cooperation with China, “We have 80 partners in China’s 20 provinces and 3 direct-administered municipalities. I can say with confidence that Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology is one of our reliable strategic partners. Our cooperation has been developing in various fields since 2023. In 2024, an internship in digital technology and project management was organized for GZIST employees at our Institute of AI, Robotics and System Engineering.”

He expressed interest in a further growth of student exchange and joint programs.

“The potential for cooperation is far from being depleted. I am sure that existing contacts will lead to new joint projects and results. We have all the necessary foundations for this, including an agreement on research and technology transfer,” noted the KFU Rector.
