Uzbekistani teachers receive advanced training at KFU

From February 2 to February 6, the Institute of Psychology and Education continues to implement a professional development program in the form of an internship titled Development of Research and Professional Competencies of University Faculty in an Innovative Economy. The program is designed for educators from higher education institutions and specialists from сenters for teaching excellence in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The internship program includes lectures by leading KFU professors, seminars, and master classes, as well as visits to the university’s modern laboratories and centers.

Director of IPE Aidar Kalimullin emphasizes that Kazan Federal University’s Institute of Psychology and Education has been implementing this internship program for educators from Uzbekistan for three years, “During this time, we have conducted about 15 cycles and trained more than 200 educators from this friendly nation. We welcome colleagues from universities in Samarkand, Karshi, and others. We are very pleased that some of them are returning for repeat visits. We redesign the program annually to meet specific requests, thereby proving its importance and relevance to the educational system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

This is also crucial for the development of educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, Dr Kalimullin noted.

“The internship allows us to establish closer communication between scientists, learn about innovations being introduced in both Uzbekistan and Russia, and thus build a scientific bridge between the two countries,” the director summarized.

Participants will explore advanced educational technologies, methods for integrating research activities into the educational process, and tools for developing pedagogical mastery in the era of digitization.

“During the internship, we have breakout sessions related to distance learning and the use of artificial intelligence in education. Some sections are also dedicated to scientific activities and research,” reported Gulzira Kdybaeva, a representative of the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute.

Associate Professor Esbergen Allanazarov, from the same university, arrived at Kazan University for the second time. Speaking with journalists, he noted the importance of professional development.

“Previously we studied online, but now we are here offline. We want to study our colleagues’ experience and see how education is organized at KFU, from master’s students to PhD candidates. I also look forward to collaborative work on scientific projects,” the participant concluded.

Upon completion of the internship, participants will be awarded certificates of professional development.

KFU is currently ranked 94th in the world in teacher education in QS subject rankings.
