UZUM, Uzbekistan’s biggest digital ecosystem, partners up with KFU

A decision to sign a cooperation agreement was made during Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev’s visit to Uzbekistan.

UZUM is a digital holding comprising an e-commerce platform, a food delivery service, a digital bank, and other services. UZUM’s COO Daniil Klinov is an alumnus of KFU’s Institute of IT and Intelligent Systems.

The planned agreement includes such areas as student internships, UZUM employees serving as lecturers, and a scholarship program for outstanding IT students.

During his visit, Dr Alishev also discussed further plans for KFU’s Jizzakh Branch with the representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Jizzakh Branch’s establishment. It now has over 1,300 students enrolled in 11 undergraduate and 3 graduate programs.
