Kazan Federal University

Top graduates of 2021 receive diplomas

50 best graduates were congratulated by Rector Ilshat Gafurov on July 7.

In his commendation speech, Dr. Gafurov noted, “Today, we have here the brightest, most ambitious and talented students who have demonstrated excellent results in the last few years. You prove that student years are indeed the time for self-actualization. Thanks to your academic performance, achievements in sports, science, arts, and community service, we can rightfully call you the best KFU graduates of 2021.”

He added that the graduates give a great example to their junior followers. “Let the diploma of Kazan Federal University be not just any document for you, but a reliable companion on your professional path, a source of pride and a wonderful reminder of your student years,” said he.

The Rector then gave the floor to the heroes of the ceremony. The graduates offered warm words and took photos with each other and the university executives.

Apart from Russian nationals, many other alumni joined the ceremony, including top students from Uzbekistan, India, Iraq, Syria, Mozambique, Algeria, and Ghana.

During the pandemic restrictions, the University decided not to cancel the ceremony but rather move it to the Main Building courtyard, where everyone could enjoy the summer weather and picturesque views of the Kazan city center.

Of the 9 thousand graduates of 2021 at KFU, there are 2,706 who received diplomas cum laude.
