University represented at Kazan Digital Week 2021

The forum is being held from 21 to 24 September.

This year’s week comprises various events in cyber security, intelligent transport, situation centers, fintech, digital healthcare, Industry 4.0, digital education, digital culture, and digital agriculture.

On Tuesday, 21 September, over 40 participants of the forum visited KFU’s Center for Digital Transformation.

Director of the Center Dmitry Chikrin spoke about machine vision for driverless ground vehicles. After that, Deputy Director Pyotr Kokunin presented his report on major challenges in transport policies with regards to driverless tech. He noted that KFU pays attention to attracting young researchers and engineers into the Center’s activities.

On 22 September, Associate Professor Vlada Kugurakova, Head of KFU’s Digital Media Lab, is moderating a panel on game development and its social significance. Assistant Lecturer Maria Kochakova and Senior Lecturer Vitaly Abramov have prepared presentations on educational technology in gamedev.
