Delegation of Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute welcomed at KFU

The Kazakhstani guests arrived on 5 December.

The University was represented by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina.

Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute dispatched Rector Erzhan Amirbekuly, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Philology Aibek Kaliev, Dean of the Faculty of History and Arts Gulbarshin Konkina, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatization Alibek Eskemersuly, and Head of the Research Center Zhanar Baiseitova.

Dr Alishev spoke about KFU’s current standing and priorities with a special focus on teacher education. He emphasized that students have a selection of internship opportunities at in-house secondary schools (currently three) and an in-house kindergarten. He said that there are 543 Kazakhstani nationals enrolled in KFU.

The guests thanked the hosts for the hospitality and their respect and profound knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan. Arkalyk Institute is interested in signing a cooperation agreement for academic mobility, joint research, and training programs for teachers, in particular, inclusive education, preschool education, pedagogical methodology, STEM teaching, and research supervision of API’s postgraduate students.
