Kazan University represented at Turkmenistan-Russia Business forum in Ashgabat
Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev visited the event in the capital city of Turkmenistan.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who was among the contributors, noted that Tatarstan is currently hosting 6,200 Turkmenistani students. He also mentioned that some of the largest Tatarstani companies, such as KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopters, and Tatneft, cooperate with Turkmenistani partners.
The forum featured a roundtable on educational projects, where Vice-Rector Alishev presented KFU and its internationalization strategy. He said, “KFU has 3,600 Turkmenistani students in various programs. Their priorities are teacher education, management, petroleum industry, and engineering. Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan is of great help in working with students. Among our partners are Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the Institute of Education of Turkmenistan. We are planning to sign a cooperation agreement with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.”
