Kazan University to launch preparatory course in Ecuador

From 21 to 30 March, Dean of the Preparatory School for International Students Airat Mukhametov and Vice-Dean Rauf Sabirov are visiting the country and its neighbor, Colombia, to establish new links and promote the University.

The visit includes preparations for the opening of a preparatory course in Ecuador, meetings with pre-university training centers and language schools.

“The network program with Super Profi center in Ecuador is to be launched in September 2025. The first semester will be dedicated to Russian language studies on-site, and then the students will come to Kazan to prepare for enrolment in local universities,” informed Mr Mukhametov.

The Russian guests visited a solemn ceremony of the laying of the foundation stones for two future monuments – to Russian poet and writer Alexander Pushkin and Ecuadorian poet Medardo Ángel Silva Rodas. As part of the event, the KFU employees spoke with Russian Ambassador to Ecuador Vladimir Sprinchan.

According to Mr Sabirov, the Ambassador offered assistance in recruiting Ecuadorian young people to joint programs and Russian language courses.

As of now, KFU hosts 68 Colombian students and 80 Ecuadorian students.
