KFU delegation meeting with colleagues in Indonesia

Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Head of International Admission Unit Rauf Sabirov are visiting the country from 16 to 19 February.

On 16 February, the Kazanites met with Deputy Ambassador of Russia to Indonesia Veronika Novosiltseva and Head of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russia’s humanitarian cooperation agency) Viktoria Vikman. The sides discussed potential projects in educational and cultural cooperation between the countries.

The delegation also visited BINUS University, Indonesia’s biggest private tertiary education institution. An agreement was reached to sign a memorandum of understanding and arrange student exchange in humanities.

Another stop was made at Universitas Terbuka (Indonesian Open University), a center of distance education. KFU’s Preparatory School will conduct further negotiations to offers its programs at UT.

Finally, the Vice-Rector spoke with representative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Yayat Hendayana. The Ministry plans to join KazanForum 2023, a large-scale event dedicated to the cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries and set to take place in Kazan on 18 – 20 May 2023. The sides also talked about KFU’s possible participation in the Indonesian international student mobility program, IISMA, in 2023 and 2024.
