KFU represented at Europe-Asia International Pedagogical Education Forum in Lanzhou, China

Director of the Yelabuga Institute Yelena Merzon visited the event at Northwest Normal University on 11th December.

Among the participants were President of NWNU Wang Zhanren, President of Guangxi Normal University Sun Jieyuan, President of Eurasian Technological University Erbol Suleymenov, Research Associate of the Chinese Society of Education Guo Ge, Vice-President of NWNU Zhang Mingjun, and President of the Education University of Hong Kong John Lee Chi-Kin.

Dr Merzon presented her outlook on continuous teacher education at a classical university, which is based on KFU’s unique experience in this field.

Agreements were reached during a meeting with President Wang about academic mobility. A teacher from Northwest Normal University will work at Yelabuga Institute, and the Institute’s students will be studying in Lanzhou in the spring semester in 2024. As of now, there are four NWNU students in Yelabuga and three KFU students in Lanzhou. Dr Merzon met with Russian students and visited a local competition of Russian language.
