Rector Lenar Safin meets with Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Wenqing

The delegation of the People’s Republic of China, headed by Chen Wenqing, visited on 26 April.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui, Special Representative of the Government of the People’s Republic of China for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui, Deputy Director of the Department of Europe and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mao Wenchong, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, and Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.

The parties discussed general lines of cooperation between the countries, including science and education.

The guests were also presented the capabilities of one of the leading Russian universities in certain priority areas. The main projects and developments, topics of fundamental and applied research, unique educational methods and existing scientific programs, programs of internships, advanced training, academic mobility and many others were discussed.

The visit ended with a tour of the History Museum, the Emperor Ballroom, and the Lenin Memorial Classroom.
