Rector Lenar Safin visiting Egypt

As part of the business trip, he visited the KFU Branch in Cairo, where he met with the faculty.
Addressing his colleagues, the Rector noted the growing popularity of the Russian university’s educational programs among young Egyptians. The branch’s total enrollment this year exceeded 2,000 students.
Dr Safin also mentioned the implementation of an academic mobility program. Through this program, talented students and faculty from the branch have the opportunity to come to KFU’s main campus in Kazan for internships and professional development.
Then, the head of Kazan University toured the branch’s classrooms and laboratories. The Rector also met with freshmen. He wished them success in their studies, diligence, and hard work in mastering their educational programs.
At the end of the ceremony, the best students and faculty members of the past academic year were awarded commemorative gifts.
The Cairo Branch opened in 2022. Currently, it offers educational programs in general medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy. In 2025, all of them were accredited by the Russian Federation.
