Talks held with Rector of Karaganda Buketov University Nurlan Dulatbekov
He was welcomed by Rector Lenar Safin on 23 May.
The leaders were joined by Vice-Rector for International Affairs of KFU Timirkhan Alishev and Vice-Rector for Research of KBU Erkeban Tazhbaev.
After a discussion, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding to promote bilateral partnerships. The cooperation will be aimed at joint research and innovation.
The two universities are also going to promote double-degree programs, advanceed training, academic exchange, and other relevant activities. An annex was signed at the spot to start student exchange.
At this time, KFU hosts over 500 Kazakhstani students and has partnership links with 30 institutions from the Central Asian country. The collaborations cover a wide range of topics including economics, physics, engineering, petroleum science, law, Turkic studies, and Silk Road studies.
