University of Electronic Science and Technology of China delegation tours KFU

It was UESTC’s second visit this year; this time, the delegation was headed by Vice-President Luo Guangchun.

At KFU, the guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Director of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT Anton Yegorchev, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics Ruslan Zamaliev, and Deputy Director for Innovation of ICMIT Kamilla Smolnikova.

Vice-Rector Alishev informed that the two universities have a few signed agreements in place. Currently, there are plans to open joint graduate programs in mathematics, physics, and mechanics. Both institutions are also participants of the Volga – Yangtze University Association.

This academic year, KFU has 1,679 Chinese students, 123 of which are recipients of Russian government scholarships.
