KFU’s is the only Russian delegation at the event.

Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Head of International Admission Unit Rauf Sabirov are visiting the country from 16 to 19 February. Mr Sabirov is in charge of the university’s booth at the expo; this time marks the first instance when he brought a VR helmet with a KFU presentation, including its interiors, the Lobachevsky Library, and the History Museum. The addition is proving popular with local public.

IIETE is one of the biggest industry events in Southeast Asia and is visited by universities of Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore and many other countries. The 2023 attendance is expected to reach 30 thousand.

There are currently 83 Indonesian nationals enrolled in KFU – of a total 500 in Russian universities. Our institution is one the few in the nation to offer Indonesian language courses. Importantly, the number of Indonesian students grows steadily with time.

In the past five years, KFU researchers have co-authored 37 papers with Indonesian colleagues, predominantly in engineering and materials science.
