Vice-Rector for International Affairs touring China

Timirkhan Alishev is visiting the country from April 9 to 15. Part of the program is organized within the framework of the delegation of regional branches of the Russia-China Friendship Society (RCFS).

A meeting was held with the management of Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology. The cooperation agreement between the two sides was signed last October.

Earlier this year, Guangzhou Institute teachers underwent a professional development program at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and System Engineering of Kazan University. During this past meeting, a framework agreement was signed on the establishment of mirror centers for research and technology transfer at the two universities. Negotiations were also held regarding the participation of GZIST students in the Summer University project at KFU in July, student exchange, and double degree programs.

The delegation then visited Guangdong University of Finance and Economics. This is the second meeting of this university with KFU. The first one took place in October 2023. A memorandum of understanding was signed this time. GZUFE students were invited to join a summer school at KFU’s Institute of Management, Economics and FInance.

The delegation will proceed to visit Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Beijing.
