Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev part of 9th Conference on Interregional Business and Investment Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan

The headliners are prime ministers of both nations Mikhail Mishustin and Kokhir Rasulzada.

16 Russian provinces and 200 companies are represented on 2 – 3 March in Dushanbe, the capital of the Central Asian republic. The Tatarstani delegation is headed by Rais (Governor) Rustam Minnikhanov.

A panel was held on 2 March on the academic cooperation between the two countries, featuring the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov. Vice-Rector of KFU for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev contributed with his report on our university’s projects with Tajikistan and future prospects.

He said, “Each year, our institutes hold an international media school for Tajikistani media professionals. The Unviersity Clinic of Kazan University has cooperation links with Shafo Medical Center of Tajikistan. Another aspect is cooperation with secondary schools. In 2021, we sent over 2,000 textbooks to secondary schools of Soghd Province. We will continue in this vein.”

As of now, KFU hosts 305 Tajikistani students.
