Visit by delegation of the Republic of Indonesia

The Indonesian guests arrived on 16 May.

The delegation comprised Deputy Chief Representative Berlian Helmy, Minister Counsellor Nanang Syaiful Fadillah, Minister Counsellor Adi Priyanto, Attache of Education and Culture Adi Nuryanto, other embassy employees, and members of the provincial government of Aceh.

The delegation visited KFU’s History Museum and listened to Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev‘s presentation about the University’s current situation and cooperation with Indonesia. KFU hosts 78 Indonesian students, which comprises almost a quarter of all Indonesian nationals at Russian universities.

The sides agreed to establish a club of Russian-Indonesian friendship at the Institute of International Relations. The co-chairs will be Associate Professor Ramil Yuzmukhametov and KFU alumnus Hakk Shauki Arinal. The club will aim to promote closer links between young people of the two countries.

The guests also visited a special expo prepared by Indonesian student and a concert celebrating the Indonesian Culture Day. An address by the Ambassador of Russia to Indonesia Liudmila Vorobiova was shown via a conference call. The visitors happily partook in a cultural event and thanked KFU for the hospitality.
