Over 700 storage units added to KFU museum collection in 2022

An expo of new additions has been opened in the front hall of the History Museum since 22 February.

In August 2022, one of Nikolay Lobachevsky‘s descendants, Konstantin Milto, handed over the famous rector’s inkpot. Sergey Ionenko, Director of the Center for Test Preparations, donated his father’s, Professor Sergey Ionenko‘s, personal possessions, including photos and papers.

The Snow Squad collections were significantly increased thanks to Valery Telishev, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of KFU, and Mikhail Cherepanov, Chairman of the Club of Military Valor.

Alexander Rizvanov, Chief Curator of the Engelhardt Astronomical Observatory, gave the museums a dining plate dating back to late 19th century.

Last year, the University also received over 300 storage units of the personal possessions of Lyalya Yuldasheva, famous organic chemist, student of Boris Arbuzov.

As usual, the Shtukenberg Geological Museum had its collection increased last year – this time by 44 specimens of minerals and rocks.

As for overseas gifts, KFU alumnus Karman Ednilsen Eridia, who was on a business trip from his hometown, Jakarta, donated three traditional female outfits from Indonesia. Apart from that, he also handed over three statuettes, one male headdress, and two kerchiefs.

The Zoological Museum received stuffed animals – leopard gecko, male linnet, female remez bunting, and bank vole.
