The second day of the Kazan University birthday celebration ended with a big show for students, guests, and employees.

Russian pop band Dabro served as the headliner of the evening.

The management of Kazan University, represented by Rector Lenar Safin, as well as the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva came to congratulate the community; commercial partner VTB was represented by Senior Vice-President Dmitry Breitenbicher.

In his congratulatory speech, the Rector emphasized that, despite its rather venerable age, the university remains young and dynamic, thanks to the irrepressible energy, determination and activity of its students.

“Throughout all these years, the student body of Kazan University has always been one of the strongest in Russia. And today it continues to be the best, making scientific discoveries, winning grants, winning sports competitions and creative contests,” said Lenar Safin. “I am sincerely proud of the achievements of each of you and am absolutely sure that you can handle any heights. After all, only in the One and Unique [editor’s note – unofficial Russian motto of the University] do the most talented, most proactive, most cheerful, active and thinking students study and create!”

The Rector congratulated the students on the birthday of the alma mater and added that even more interesting and exciting events await ahead, so this time should be spent unforgettably.

“Enjoy life, boldly go towards your goals, make your dreams come true and always remain faithful to the student kinship. Study and create something new, and we wish you good luck on this interesting path, inexhaustible energy and inspiration. Let these years be memorable and happy!” he wished.

It should be noted that among the students present at the concert today, there were mainly freshmen, since maximum immersion in a bright, eventful student life contributes to the rapid and comfortable adaptation of students in a new environment, cohesion and mutual understanding.
