KFU wins Grand Prix of Freshman Day 2024 in Tatarstan Festival

The Pyramid Complex in Kazan hosted a gala concert of the XXXI Kazan Inter-University Student Creativity Festival Freshman Day. Kazan Federal University was represented by 30 groups and individual performers, as well as 16 participants in the Media category. The university’s medal harvest includes 11 first, 7 second and 8 third places, as well as the grand prix and victory in the 1st Kazan Media Award Potok (Flux).

The Freshman Day is the most popular and traditional form of identifying creative youth and is aimed at supporting the creative potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

KFU first held preliminaries within the university. On November 25-26, 108 teams and individual performers presented their numbers, the best of which were selected by the jury to participate in the inter-university stage. The finals featured about 300 KFU students. The contestants presented their numbers in dance, theater and music, as well as in the original genre.

The Chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan Aliya Zagidullina made a welcoming speech at the gala, wishing the students further success and inspiration.

KFU received 28 awards in total.

“The feelings are overwhelming – it’s incredibly pleasant and unexpected. I am very glad that I was able to demonstrate my talents and impress the jury. The atmosphere of the event was full of drive, I received a huge boost of energy. I want to say a big thank you to the organizers for holding the event at such a high level!” shared his impressions the winner of the Grand Prix in the music, freshman of the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications Murad Yusufov.
