Nowruz celebrated at KFU’s Jizzakh Branch
The festivities were held on 10 March.
The event was visited by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Rector of Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute Alisher Usmankulov, Rector of the Jizzakh Branch of the National University of Uzbekistan Olim Turakulov, and Rector of Sambhram University Zhumanazar Khusanov.
Local cooks prepared traditional dishes – pilaf (boiled rice with meat, onion and spices) and sumalak (germinated wheat with nuts).
As per the tradition, the holiday was also marked with concert performances and Uzbek ethnic games and contests.
