Psychologist Day marked with multiple events at KFU

The professional holidy is celebrated in Russia on 22 November – dating back to the first convention of the Russian Psychological Society in 1906.

This year, the University has planned a full week of events in psychological science.

Today, Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Aidar Kalimullin greeted students in the Institute’s meeting hall, “The work of psychologists is becoming more and more important every day. Our main task is to train qualified specialists, because our labor and our profession are very much needed by society. We encourage you to absorb all the knowledge and atmosphere that our institute gives you. I wish you good health, success and psychological well-being.”

Congratulations were also extended by Professor Leonid Popov, Professor Alexander Prokhorov, Chair of the Department of General Psychology Pavel Ustin, and Associate Professor Ruslan Khakimzyanov.

A concert program and commendation giveaways to excelling students then followed.

An accompanying event featured art therapy classes, assertive behavior trainings, and open lectures.

The Psychology Week is going to cover two more days.
