First World Public Assembly New World of Conscious Unity held in Moscow

Over 4,000 participants from 150 countries attended the event. Kazan Federal University was represented by its Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.
The assembly discussed a wide range of issues related to international public cooperation in culture, youth exchanges, sports, media, and tourism.
Dr Alishev moderated one of the key panel discussions at the event, dedicated to international cooperation in science and education. Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary-General of the World Public Assembly, and Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, delivered welcoming remarks.
The discussion was joined by To Ngoc Hung, President of Hoa Binh University (Vietnam); Sreten Koceski, Director of the Community Development Institute (North Macedonia); Abraham Altonayan, Member of the Advisory Board of King Khalid University (Saudi Arabia) and Professor at Brunel University (UK); Natir Obeidat, Rector of the University of Jordan; Mashhoor Al-Refai, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology of Jordan; and Irina Manuilova, Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast of the Russian Federation.
The panel session addressed issues of international scientific cooperation and academic exchange, the contribution of universities to national development, the creation of a sovereign economy and education system, and the autonomy of universities in the face of international political turbulence.
As a reminder, in May of this year, an agreement was signed between KFU and the World Public Assembly at the 16th Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.
