KFU welcoming the 4th International Congress of the Sociologists of the Turkic World

The tagline of the event, scheduled for November 20th to 22nd, is Eurasian Contexts of Social Dynamics: Societal Transformation in the Era of Global Challenges. Among the main topics are youth in Eurasian countries, digital inclusion, digital politics, and others. Experts from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and China have joined.

The Congress includes a meeting of the Association of Asian Universities, where our university is currently a rotating chair entity. Apart from that, the Department of General and Ethnic Sociology and the Department of Political Science are celebrating their 35th anniversaries. There are various conferences and master classes.

During the opening ceremony, the participants were greeted by President of KFU Riyaz Minzaripov, Doctor of Sciences in Sociology.

The invited guests included First Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Sofya Galieva-Mustafina, President of the Russian Society of Sociologists Valery Mansurov, Vice-President of the Eurasian Association of Sociologists Gali Galiev, Deputy Chairperson of the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the All-Russian Youth Organization Movement of the First Leisan Zasypkina, and Chair of the Department of General Philosophy of KFU Mikhail Schelkunov.

The schedule also comprises a report and master classes by prominent documentary filmmaker Pavel Selin.
