Shaping the Future Forum in Kazan

The first international forum of education ministers is taking place in the capital city of Tatarstan on 8 – 9 June 2023.

The forum features 31 countries, including Egypt, Cuba, Venezuela, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Serbia, Senegal, Mali, Zimbabwe, Central African Republic, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Rector Lenar Safin was present at the plenary session on 8 June. The event was joined by Aide to the President of Russia Andrey Fursenko, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov, and other dignitaries. The session was moderated by Minister of Enlightenment of Russia Sergey Kravtsov. A video message was sent by President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The program included discussions on education and the economy, education quality, Russian language studies in other countries, special needs education, and moral education. A companion expo showed educational technology, textbooks, educational equipment, and other items of interest. Kazan Federal University was among the exhibitors; the booth was managed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova.
