University’s 219th birthday marked by evening concert

The audience was greeted by Rector Lenar Safin.

He emphasized how proud he is of the institution from which he himself graduated decades ago, “Kazan University has always been and is a flagship of Russia’s educational system. Our alumni are famous scientists, talented teachers, statesmen, and prominent public figures. Each year, our University strengthens its standing and widens its partnership network with other universities and research centers – while also attracting top talents for work. We implement huge projects with steady success, and our products become more and more in demand.”

The Rector opined that KFU shall remain among the leaders of higher education and thanked the employees for their labor and love for their craft.

During the ceremony, educators and students received awards for various achievements.

Among those who extended best wishes in person were Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Rinat Sadykov, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov, and First Deputy Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Khalil Shaykhutdinov.

As is customary, a large cake was brought to the stage in conclusion of the evening for the leadership to blow the candles.
