Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology and Center for Temporary Employment hold job fair for students

The event was attended by more than 30 medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as guests from Moscow, Magnitogorsk, and other regions of Russia.

“We pay attention to those profiles and professions that the labor market needs now. All employers who are represented here have vacancies for our students and graduates – in this case, residents. Interested students who are looking for their start in medical career come here”, commented the Head of the Center for Temporary Employment Nail Vyalshin.

This is not the first time Kazan University has held such a fair; previously job fairs in IT and pedagogy were organized.

Yesterday’s event was interesting not only for those studying in medical fields, but also for future chemists, biologists, and IT workers.

The process of the fair is as follows: a job seeker approaches the exhibition table, familiarize themselves with vacancies and communicate with representatives of the institution. Next, the job seeker and employer meet and interact in the KFU Facultetus digital career platform, where current CVs and jobs are posted.

“There are jobs, and there are quite a lot of them. We need people in 16 specialties – these are district therapist, district pediatrician, obstetrician-gynecologist, neonatologist, anesthesiologist, neurologist, traumatologist, and others”, shared Anisa Kiyamova, Head of Human Resources Department of Chistopol Central Regional Hospital.

Social programs are implemented for young specialists – a grant to improve housing conditions in the amount of 800 thousand rubles, a lump sum cash payment, and other measures of social support, she added. Among the requirements is passing the procedure of initial accreditation of medical workers.

The Russian drug manufacturer Tatkhimpharmpreparaty may become an employer for future KFU graduates. The company needs young workers, mainly drug developers, engineers-technologists, milling operators, and machine workers. This was reported by Anna Yarovikova, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department.

Alexander Grigoryev, fourth-year medical student, is participating in the fair for the first time. According to him, the event helped him to get acquainted with the current offers on the labor market.

“For myself, I noted the Republican Clinical Narcology Hospital, because psychiatry and narcology seem interesting to me, and several district hospitals – they have good offers. For example, you can come to the Mamadysh Central Regional Hospital as a general practitioner, and they will send you to a residency on target enrollment in the specialty you are interested in. In my case it is psychiatry”, said the student.

Pardis Hamushi Esfahani, second-year student of dentistry, became interested in the profession of cardiologist after visiting the job fair.

City Polyclinic # 21 in Kazan, for example, offers jobs for foreign citizens and applicants with disabilities. To get a job, you only need to meet the legal requirements, says Dilyara Nevmerzhitskaya, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Human Resources.

Another promising option is to work at the KFU University Clinic as a specialist in radiation diagnostics, cardiologist, neurologist, etc.

The career event also included an educational program. Lectures were given by medical industry experts – Ruslan Mullin, Head of Polyclinic # 2 of Nizhnekamsk Regional Medical Center, Alsu Gataullina, Cardiologist, Head of the Medical and Preventive Department of City Polyclinic # 21 in Kazan, Aidar Tazetdinov, general practitioner and medical blogger, and others.
