Cooperation agreement signed by KFU and Sibur Holding

Rector Lenar Safin met with Managing Director of Sibur Daria Borisova on 10 May.

The sides agreed to work on staff training, research and development, production, and market activities. The partners will use all intellectual, financial, material and other types of resources to reach each other’s objectives in the areas of mutual interest.

Sibur is the largest gas refining and petrochemical company in Russia. Kazan Federal University is 40th in the world in QS Subject Rankings in petroleum engineering, being among the global leaders in oil catalyst research and fuel dopants. KFU has presented numerous evidence-based techniques for in-situ refining, steam injection, and other technologies for enhanced oil extraction. The University has numerous partnerships in hydrocarbon research with vast geography covering Russia, Cuba, Colombia, Oman, China, and other countries.
